So I've been kicking around the idea of making a pony themed violin. Which leads me to the question, if you were to makeone, how would you go about designing it tastefully? I've been thinking either an inlay on the back or something like this

on the fingerboard.

@ Edd: That's definitely a good route to go. The problem is, who's cutie mark? I don't want to use Octavia's because it's a violin, not a cello, and I'm not sure any of the others really work.
