To be honest, Loki wasn't even that good of a villain in Thor. His entire plan seemed to hinge on no one being able to stop him, and he was beaten really easily once Thor came back.

My only real complaint about the Avengers is that Loki was a subpar villain. Hell, the aliens were far more memorable and they only appeared in the final 30 minutes!

The mane six are already technically superheroes. Well, mainly Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and maybe Pinkie.

See what I mean. Without a good villain I don't fucking CARE about how cool and awesome the Avengers were. It just felt like an excuse to watch them be cool half the time. Which I can't STAND.
Yeah, the more I see people's reactions to it, the more I'm really STARTING to hate that film.
And I hated, HATED Black Widow and Hawkeye.

@Librarian uh no. again, because it felt like the film was doing nothing but setting up situations for them to show off half the time. and I couldn't stand their personalities. I prefered Captain America by far.
Okay, I liked Hawkeye when he was temporarily a villain
Again, without a decent villain to give the Avengers a decent challenge, I just didn't care.
AND BECAUSE BLACK WIDOW RUINED MY FAVOURITE SPEECH IN THE MOVIE!!!

For the record, I'm in the camp that says RD wasn't technically cheating, but her actions rather obviously went against the spirit of the competition and they should have outlined the rules more clearly at the start. Not saying anything else because we've gone over that too many times.
