Haruhi has limits to her powers. They can be taken away and she is ignorant of her powers and therefore can't use them effectively. Plus, her powers are treated as the antagonist in many ways.

@Mio At least Celestia got to save the day in Lesson Zero

The other thing about Medaka is that unlike a true Sue, the story treats her as wrong fairly often. Really, she just happens to have a ridiculously HAX power which makes her look like a Sue, but the same is true of many characters in the series.

@Mio I don't think getting worfed once means that your permanent role in the show is to get worfed.
Meanwhile the wonderbolts have been worfed at least 2 or 3 times now.
@Ginger: In Big Damn Hero, she slaves her powers to Yuki (so all her requests have to be approved by both Yuki and Kyon before they happen) and, for a while, gives herself selective amnesia of what she can do, limiting herself to minor telekinesis.
Can you think inside the chimney?
Should I be reading these works so I can follow the conversation?
@Miss Cheerilee. I wouldn't bother if I were you, they would just confuse you even more.
@Lurker but it's kinda true. They're role in the story when something serious goes down is to fail in order to show how serious it is and to make it look all the cooler when the protagonists succeed where they could not

Wonderbolts vs Changeling horde. How long do they last and how many do they take down?
Tealove is best pony.

@Bad A crapton of them!
@Red... hmmmm, nah, not my thing. Still sounds lame (for me at least)

@Ginger: You're missing out on a scene where Kyon, Yuki and Tsuruya take out a minor yakuza hangout by themselves in seconds. =D It's long as fuck, but I really enjoyed it. Think I'll read it again over the summer, I think; there should be more by now.

You forget, I care little for the awesomeness of heroes, I like my villains to be just as awesome too, thank you very much. (hmmph)
Why do I have Godzilla in my head?

There needs to be a king like figure in the MLP world. And he should be voiced by Patrick Stewart
Oh right, I forgot I wasn't supposed to recommend you anything ever on account of giving myself a headache when I try it. =P
Can you think inside the chimney?
@Red I really don't see what's so hard about it. Just reccomend me something where the villain is totally awesome.

Is that so painful?

The problem is that your definition of awesome villain is that he/she never loses.
I've finished chapter 20, and it appears that the version I downloaded doesn't have chapter 20.5. Does anyone know if it's worth reading and if so, where I can find it?
Also, Fluttershy invented nukes? Talk about a
Wham Line?
