Personally, I didn't like it. Why do all the Tron movies spend so much time focusing on characters that noone cares about? On the upside, at least this one didn't have graphics that made you want to rip your eyes out.

I saw Ninja Assassin. It was nice to see Interpol get Genre Savvy about the ninja's taking advantage of the cover of darkness and break out the floodlights and automatic weapons.

Well, I finally caught up on the posts I missed while I was at the anime convention yesterday (I try to read all the pages or at least skim them if there's topics I'm not really interested in). As well as anime stuff (obviously), there were a LOT of pony fans there. Not only were there many pony cosplayers, but there were artists who did a lot of pony artwork and made plushies and other things such as buttons. I wasn't too surprised, though, at least by the cosplayers, because I had seen people dressed as non-Japanese fictional characters there before, and because I did notice that the anime fandom and the pony fandom seem to have a lot of overlap. There was even a gathering of the pony cosplayers (it was too crowded for me to really get a good look at them, not to mention most people are taller than me, but my dad took a bunch of pictures) who sang the theme song together.

It was quite a nice thing to see, since I'm nowhere near any of the official brony cons (unless there's one in Illinois that I don't know about), so that was probably the closest thing to a "pony con" I would be able to attend. It was probably also nice for my parents because they would actually know who those characters are (all they would really know would be the Sailor Moon characters otherwise).

I'm going to try and make it to Cosfest XII this July, so I'll keep an eye out for Pony invasions.

hmmmm not going to be able to make arangments for the summer Bronycon, but I'm close enough I might be able to try and get to the winter one this year.

also for those in the UK, can't find it quick but on EQD was a notice about a UK Brony convernion.

About the pilot episodes, my opinion of it is that I really feel sorry for Twilight and think that she handled it a lot better than I would, particularly what happens in the first episode. Not only do I HATE not being believed or feeling like my concerns are being dismissed, but I would also really hate it if I kept getting interrupted and sidetracked when I really want to get something done that I think is important. Not to mention having a bunch of strangers throw a surprise party in my house without my permission! I'd probably have them thrown out (not literally, of course) if that was me.

yeah you can really sympathize with Twi, and I love how the show didn't make out her into Loners Are Freaks you could understand her, and yeah she does a 180 and goes from "Who needs friends" to "Friends are the best" but it's handled really well, the only reason she never cared about friends was that she never had any outside her family, and so didn't know what she was missing. The realization of just how much having friends could mean to her was powerful enough to bring forth her Element of Harmony. But she still never does a complete 180, yeah she enjoys having friends and can't imagine life without them, but she's still and introverted, as much as she loves her friends, she still needs time alone. And she was never shown as stand-offish or mean to ponies before, seems like she'd be just as helpful before, only now it means more to her becuase instead of just doing good deeds and helping random ponies, shes helping her friends.

Holy noodle, that association chart looks pretty. Really pretty. As in, "I want to make it into my wallpaper and/or avatar" pretty.

What is it associating, exactly? Character tags that show up together?
