Interesting...
Luna didn't use the royal "we" even once throughout the episode. I wonder if it's because she was around Celestia, and so it wouldn't be grammatically correct to refer to herself in that manner.
Or maybe she's just been taking lessons in modern language.

Well Luna more or less learned correct speech in "Luna Eclipsed." I suppose the lesson stuck.
Of course, since Celestia is her equal, they would probably speak more casually with one another.
I get the idea that the Royal Canterlot Voice is meant for formal occasions or interacting with one's subjects.
Gay, Autistic, Nerd, Gamer, Gleek, Brony, Writer, Fan, Master Of The Ever Changing Avatar, Mad Man.
I am in fact awesome.

That would be my guess; enough time has passed since "Luna, Eclipsed" that she's gotten more used to social norms.
That reminds me, I need to update my timeline again. Preferably when I don't have a final paper to do, though.
Can you think inside the chimney?

The Royal "We" is only used when addressing your subjects. She'd probably still use it when addressing a crowd or a pony she wasn't familiar with. Celestia though? She probably never spoke to Celestia like that, even 1000 yeas ago, as that would imply that she was above her sister.

Right. I suppose they would have used that when seperate, and talking with subjects. If I recall correctly, the royal "we" had the connotation of the monarch speaking as and for the whole of the kingdom. Obviously, that's not the correct grammar to use when speaking with one of equal political power, or in their presence.

She said it was part of a star and she gave it to me to comum...commeee...coommam...
As a gift. She gave a few ponies something special for the wedding; the bride and groom, six pretty ponies and me!
I've gotta write her a thank you note, but I'm not so good with words yet.
Yo ho ho and a bottle of fizzy-pop! (Mum won't let me have rum)
I don't think the finale needed 3 parts, although I do think giving it another 5-7 minutes would have helped a bit. The only thing I think is missing is Twilight talking to her friends about the whole "Cadence is Evil!" thing from the first half; it got handwaved in like 3 lines of dialogue with AJ, and I think there could have been a little more substance there.
Part of a star?! How in the hay is that possible? Stars are like thousands of degrees hot.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

Ask Jimmy Neutron.
Actually, Santa Claus is probably the one to ask about that one.

I think it's not a physical fragment of a huge Hydrogen/Deuterium fusion reactor (lolwut you can't hold fusion-hot Hydrogen anyway, it's a plasma!), but a crystal extract from it.

@Orion: Stars are funny things, you can get these wierd ultra-dense stones from them sometimes late in the fusion cycle, when heavy metals collect in the star and slow down fusion while making the star bloat into a Red Giant.
The stone is quite heavy for its size isn't it, Pip?
