One person making fun f (rather crudely at that) something that every agrees was an issue with the episode (The disagreements being on how big an issue and how well/badly it was handled) does not constitute a backlash

Yes there will be people unhappy with it, there are ALWAYS people unhappy with ANYTHING. The issue is to damn many people JUST look at the number of negative things they see, and just forget all the positive ones, no matter how much the good out weighs the bad.

Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.

@Ginger: I'm pretty sure we did see non-unicorns cooking. Remember the part where Pinkie Pie tries to teach Apple Bloom how to make cupcakes? And while it's not shown on-screen, I would assume the Cakes do a lot of cooking as well, given they run a bakery. Also, the G1 series shows Cupcake cooking stuff and she's an earth pony.

I get that the Cadence and SA inclusion is an issue, but, last time I checked, this show was meant to be watched on the spot without having to worry about previous episode information.

ugh, again, I swear almost every "issue" with this fandom gets way more attention from people who have a problem/can't believe there is an issue, then from those that actually HAVE the issue itself.

Yes everyone agrees that SA and Cadance were just kinda plopped down, the "issue" isn't that, it's just hether you think it stil works, and whether or not you fell that one small thing is enough to detract from all the epic after.

That was just set-up worry about the pay-off.

Show is not set in Canterlot and (not counting Apples) family of Mane cast is not mentioned, same with old friends.
