@con yes, but all animals are sentient. The word Purple meant to use was sapient. Which is a trait unique to humans (maybe)

sentience is the ability to feel pleasure and pain and to think in a basic capacity

Sapience means to think on a higher level and to be able to think abstractly

Sentience - Awareness: state of elementary or undifferentiated consciousness.

Sapience - Wisdom: ability to apply knowledge or experience or understanding or common sense and insight.
