I have no idea, but I think it'd be safe to assume that it'll be as long as the wait between seasons 1 and 2. So, about the length of summer vacation, plus maybe a month or 2?

Why would there be spoilers out? I thought the people who saw it early were nice enough not to reveal anything.

I thought the people who saw it early were told to not spoiler, with some legal prevention in place. I'm not sure if that is true though.

Well, members of the media also got screener DVDs before the premiere event, and that probably came with a legal thing as well. The only thing anyone has said is that it's really good (And I doubt a lot of these media sites really care about MLP, so take that as you will).
