What we really need in season 3 is an episode about the princesses. Something, anything fleshing out their relationship. Hell, I'd take an entire episode of them having an awkward dinner conversation.

@absol You're thinking of a drum cadence or a military cadence, which are more marching terms than normal musical terms. The traditional musical definition of a cadence is what I described.

I'd love to see more of established, yet minor ponies though. Like the Mayor, or the spa ponies or something.

I definitely wouldn't mind if they threw in more nods to the background ponies, like the Lyra Bon Bon thing from Putting Your Hoof Down, but an actual episode about them would be a bit much.
