Yeah, I can't imagine Cadence as being a petty bitch either, just because it's so friggin' anticlimactic for something that's been hyped too much. Unless they play it for Poke the Poodle-style humor, I just don't think it would work.

I like villains to have a wide variety of motivations. Some are just cruel, some are Well intentioned, and some are just petty.

I'm of the opinion that most any type of villain can be redeemed, no matter their motivation

To be honest, the only thing that seems logical with what little we know is that Cadence is unsure if she really wants to be wed, and is afraid to tell anyone else, let alone Shining A. Sparkle in fear of hurting/disappointing them.

and actually, I don't think it was JUST that. I think Cadance eventually went off on one at Celestia for making her Twi's foal-sitter and Celestia retaliated by sending Cadance away to somewhere so she could learn some humility.

Only it just made her even angrier...

I seriously doubt Sethisto's claims of Royal Wedding>Lion King. I mean it can be great however Lion King is Disney's greatest movie of all time.
