On my name - My birthname was
Ditsy Doo because I was born with funny eyes and my parents could never afford the operations and therapy to get them fixed. Ponies started calling me Derpy Hooves when I was in school because I was, um, am clumsy and the nickname just kinda stuck. I dont mind it as long as people arent using it in a hurtful way I guess. I could get my eyes fixed now that I have my own income but honestly, why fix what isnt broken?¿ So what if Im a bit of a Klutz!
* There is a Derpy Hooves sockpuppet but AFAIK nobody has laid claim to it so I guess someone could ask an admin to claim it if they like.
