I guess I assumed it would make the whole thing stop cycling rather than just split one off temporarily.

Each one came up as Twilight when I tried following those directions the first time, although it changes each time I click and drag a category picture.

Apparently the GBC has an internal setting to run twice as fast, but it was normally not used to save power. The More You Know.
