Just finished watching the latest episode. It started out nice, but I really didn't like the middle part with Pinkie Pie throwing out her accusations upon each of the rival bakers. While each of the imagine spots were pretty awesome, the level of sheer ludicrous of each as they COMPLETELY contradict what ACTUALLY happened, which she HERSELF was involved, all the more made Pinkie Pie look like an incompetent spaz whom requires a steady hoof to keep her in line, ESPECIALLY since in all of her stories, the cake was
sliced, while Twilight CLEARLY pointed out after the first accusation the cake was
bitten into.
The episode went better after Twilight took over the investigation, with the actual culprits being COMPLETELY unexpected!
I'm probably one of the many that did not even think to accuse any of the Mane Six other than Pinkie herself, and I felt somewhat disappointed in Rarity and Fluttershy. However, I did like how Twilight left the rest of the investigation to Pinkie and pleasantly surprised with how she managed to handle it while at the same time it defied the usual cartoon formula with the incompetent investigator not learning until the very end.
IMO, this episode was not one of the best as it made Pinkie look like a complete crazy idiot, but the fact that Pinkie
realized she was looking like a total crazy idiot managed to save it for me.
