I vote that Fluttershy's father be a Wonderbolt.

Actually, a Wonderbolt episode would invariably have them being much better than her.

A wonderbolt episode would be pretty awesome. I'd love to see more of Spitfire and Soarin.

Hold up! Something just occurred to me:

Before the season aired, we got a piece of news, remember: There would be a solo song for Twilight somewhere this season.

Well, guess what we haven't gotten yet? And are thus going to get in the next couple weeks? Man, as if I needed more reason to be excited for the coming episodes...

If ponies had seaweed and/or soya beans in their diet, there's a good source of protein. Also milk.

Ginger: Or maybe the episode will have Rainbow challenge the Wonderbolts only to realize they're much faster than she is, better trained, have more control, and/or higher endurance. And then she realizes that she still has a long way to go if she wants to be a Wonderbolt.

[up] Applejack did say she didn't like Seaweed in that one episode. What was it called? The one where she's too stubborn to ask for help when harvesting apples.

Freeman: Nighty night.

Mormuru: Hope you find your dog soon. Easter was pretty meh this year. But it's a reason for chocolate so can't complain.

As a whole, the Wonderbolts have more experience, training, and are more agile than she is. After all, Dashie still crashes a bit whenever she tries to do some of the more impossible aerobatics. Of course, we have no confirmation whether Wonderbolts actually need wingpower output, but it's prolly part of the requirements and most likely the easiest requirement for Dashie to surpass, since she's well ahead of the curve compared to normal pegasi.

Also, yeah Applebuck Season confirmed seaweed imports as canon.

Applebuck season.

Thing is, a pony should actually love seaweed, since it's really salty...

@ilse That's what I'd HOPE for with all my heart... but somehow I doubt it.

Hey Ilsemmr, did you see my link to the old Tea Party/Spamathon? What did you think?

My guess is for such an episode they'd sorta balance the competence scale there, find a way to show Rainbow is getting there and has her own unique strengths while still maintaining her desire to work her way up to joining them. It seems sorta fitting with the upbeat Aesop method the show has.

@Kegi: Maybe AJ can't hold with the texture of dried seaweed or something, like maybe a bad childhood experience with badly-prepared seaweed leaving her with a horrible taste in her mouth for a long time.

@ginger: To be fair about the only pony that gets Worfed more than them is Rainbow herself.

I'm suddenly reminded about Dash being turned into a pan and shipped with Pinkie Pie. At least, I think that's how it happened. Or was it a spatula?

I approve strange. Normal is boring.

@steve: Mixed for me. While she has become a Butt Monkey she's gotten a fair bit of Sympathetic P.O.V. from her episodes, and arguably has even been granted more significant Smart Ball moments than in Season One to balance. Truthfully the show's setup often means the ponies' characters usually excell the more flawed and bumbling they act. Maybe that's why AJ seemed more notable in Season One, where she was a bit more of a Jerk with a Heart of Gold like Dash is in this one.
