Anyway... man, I don't really have anything to say about this episode. It wasn't bad, it wasn't particularly good, it just feels really forgettable. Well, I hope everyone else liked it at least.

I will say that I'm pretty happy that they managed to keep all the characters (but especially Pinkie) very much in character, not shifting their personalities to fit the story, as I thought was gonna happen (because, honestly, Pinkie Pie as Sherlock Holmes? No, that does not work). So it has that going for it.

Anyway, next week is the finale right? Are the episodes airing back-to-back or is part 2 gonna be a week later?

Heh. I just noticed something. The two earth ponies who judge the cake. First appearance the blue one has the hourglass cutie mark. Next shot he's got a cupcake cutie mark, and then in the next shot it's back to the hourglass.

The other one also goes from having his usual mark to having a muffin-or-cupcake mark then back to having his usual mark.

@Bluespade: It's happened to me, too. I wonder if there's a thread about it.

I think it's a back-to-back airing.

My opinion on the episode: I loved it. Plenty of good jokes, the animation was awesome, and overall it was great.

Can't wait to see what Ginger thinks of it :3

I agree with Ginger on that one. I never really understood the immense love for the background ponies. I mean it is cool that they all have a fanon personality and backstory and such, but when you come down to it they're basically props.

Middle of the episode:

I'm guessing Rarity. There has to be some reason we haven't seen her right eye since she went to bed.
