Molestia is utterly hilarious in my opinion.

Oh, I don't mean Molestia or Trollestia. I mean like more... complex (that's not the right word) interpretations of her. Like from My Little Alicorn. She's not Molestia or even Trollestia. She's a complicated alicorn who feels a lot of pressure from being on the throne and having to act perfect all the time, even though she's a pony just like everyone else (that's part of the reason why I like the picture with her eating cake). And I like the interpretation that she feels a lot of pressure from ruling, especially when her sister was gone and she had to manage everything completely by herself.

I admit to liking Molestia at times too XD

In fact her perfectness is what I find fascinating, and in that regard I find Luna really, really boring

Yes! Celestia is so perfect and I bet there's a lot of issues there. And I like Luna too, she's not perfect and imperfect characters are just as fascinating.

It's not that I like Luna more than Celestia, I just want to see some side of each character that we haven't seen already. So far, Celestia hasn't really been anything other than a Reasonable Authority Figure except for that one scene in the season 2 premiere. I'd just like to see her in a bit of a different context than being an idealized figure. Same for Luna; in her only real dedicated appearance she was awkward had tons of trouble adjusting, so I'd like to see her actually at least trying to act in capacity as a Princess.

Well, it looks like Molestia's come to welcome Ipsywitch to Ponyville.

Well Celestia simply hasn't gotten a focus episode yet.

@ilse But I see imperfect characters all the time, so I find them less interesting...

Luna feels like a very been there, done that kinda character

@Ginger: Pity we don't know the context. I think that undermining of Celestia's reputation is why I like that picture so much.

Okay, rephrase, characters who are very OPEN about their flaws I find very tried and tested

Ginger: That makes a lot more sense. But yeah, I like analyzing perfect or nearly perfect characters. Or characters with flaws that are not Flanderized or would not normally be that bad (like AJ's stubbornness)
