I always thought Trixie would wind up getting drunk on donuts and hot chocolate at Pony Joe's, not at some lousy dump.

That's okay. We all know capcom hates megaman at this point.
We have to keep bringing up new MegaMan games until it shames Capcom into making more.

Oh, so like what we do with the Highlander franchise?

Bugger them, we can make fan games that work better.
Hmmm... Interesting conversation while I had class. The thread sure was active for a while.
Welcome back Ginger. And I don't really have a strong opinion on Derpy. I think she's cute, but at the same time she is a bigger deal than she needs to be.

I thought the motto of Highlander fans was "There should have only been one".

I mean we should keep bringing up the crap ones until the studios become too ashamed to make any more

Psssht,
MMF 2? Someone should make a real engine.

What programming language though? I know
Game Maker is quite robust enough to be considered a game engine yet, it does have several restrictions.
Though, if someone were to make an engine. I would jump on the chance to make Mega Mare (
starring Lyra as the titular character).

"Always looking for a good MMORPG with infinite level-caps... Or a great community." A line said by me.
Well C++ is probably the best choice, especially if you want it to actually be able to run on a retro console.
The problem with Game Maker is that Yoyo cares more about making money than about making a quality product. Good Game Maker games were good despite GM, not because of it.

Well, if I were to try, it would probably either be in Flash, or C# (or maybe Java when I
finally find a tutorial that explains how to use windows (
J Window) and manipulate graphics in them). Using C++ would require too much time on my part.

^^ As were
Iji and
Hydorah. But they all suffer from the inherent flaws in
Game Maker, like being slow and nonportable.

I should like more pony fan games, may hap even ROM hacks that are effectively total convsions.
How does work go on Pony Emblem?
Well I might be able to help you. I've programmed in C++ quite a bit.
Anyway, Flash and C# also have the disadvantage of being proprietary, while Java has the disadvantage of being annoying to code in. If you're not familiar with programming, I'd recommend Python.
Python is free, easy to use, easy to learn, and very flexible.

That's not really important. Everything has security flaws.
