Night, Rose!

@crow: What's the significance of Basic, Stage 1, and Stage 2?

@death Pokemon can have up to 3 forms. You know, like Mudkip, Marshtomp, and Swampert.

Also, I'll leave all updating of the list to crowlover.

@deathpigeon Those are the evolutionary stages. Basic evolves to Stage 1 and Stage 1 evolves to Stage 2. Got the name from the Card Game. (Though Pokemon like Pichu would technically be Basic and Pikachu Stage 1 with that chart)

EDIT: By the way, the list is up.

I just found out that XKCD has an interesting April Fools joke today. I wonder how long it took to put together.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".

[up]What joke they have?
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.

It shows a different comic depending on referrer, location, ISP, browser, and screen size, and possibly other unknown variables.

@Story Huh. That took me a little while to figure out, but then I re-read the alt-text. It wouldn't be that hard to program, as browser detection is pretty easy to do. Pretty cool.

Edit: Oh wow, based off of all of that? That would be cool. You would have to do some digging into the HTTP request to get that info, but it's all there for a script to use.

[down]He drops a big hint about it in the alt-text, and he doesn't usually update on Sundays so you know something's up.

So essentially, it's one comic that took a shitton more time and effort to post than normal, because how many people check webcomics more than once a day from different computers?

It's a cool idea, but I have to agree that it sounds like a lot of work for minimal result; I would never have noticed if no one had pointed it out. It'll probably confuse people on the forums, though.

I read xkcd daily, but once a day. =P The word you're looking for is 'obsessive'.

I wonder if there's a TV Tropes specific comic. [1]

Edit. Guess not. How come Reddit gets a special one and not us?

@Red: I think the idea is more to confuse people who discuss the comics after, which makes a bit more sense, but it's still kind of a pain if you want to see all the comics.

But anyway, ponies.

Also Rich has apparently switched Mirror Mode on.

On Firefox, I get the Unknown - Tortoise one. On IE, I get the white circle on black thing.

Well it will probably creep out people if they get one of the specific ones. Like anyone who follows a link from Reddit for instance.
