If Lauren was allowed by Hasbro to make this a Magical Girl show, would you have watched it?

In using the past tense, I assume you mean as early as season 1, in which case... maybe, if it caught my attention.

As a season 2 thing, I'd find it harder. FIM is already established as a slice of life series in my head.

This was back when I had only watched their respective episodes once and didn't really have a grip on any of the characters.

I am very impressed by the the show's Troper Critical Mass.

I added a minor note to the triva page barely an hour ago giving a list of page images, and when I came back just now, I found that someone had already added to it.

You pair characters that you hate? That makes sense I guess.

I'm thinking: Next season I'd love to see the mane cast have their own individual groups of friends, while keeping the mane 6 as the focus. Like RD might have a friend that didn't know or like Fluttershy.

I guess I just wanna see a positive version of the plot from Griffon The Brush Off. People in real life have different groups of friends who don't all hang out together. Just because Pinkie is friends with someone doesn't mean that Applejack has to be as well, if you see what I'm getting at

Yeah, it's getting really hard to find new examples. There is a chance by the time season 2 airs, but then you have to be quick if you want to come up with something new, before the other bronies spot it first.

The sad thing about being a late brony is that it's hard to point something new out because It's Been Done.

I couldn't tell you, as I still have only the vaguest idea of what the magical girl genre even is. For all I know, My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic already is a Magical Girl show!
