Or maybe she has an evil twin. That's it, she has an evil Twin and their connected powers allow them to create clones of one another and the evil sister is trying to sabotage the wedding by ruining the image of the Mane Six and green-eyed Shining Armour s really a creation of Candence's evil twin.

I did introduce the idea of informal usage of the term "Niece" like Celestia is more like an honorary auntie than one that's actually related to her. So her being a dragon is still plausible under that idea.

well, Cadance is at least an Alicorn, so more likely to actually be related to Tia then Blue Blood (Who word of god confirmed was not only 50 some times removed, but even that connection was via adoption)

Precisely, Kegisak. I cannot even begin to count all the close family friends or distant relatives my sister and I for some reason call Aunt and Uncle only by mandate of being introduced as such by out mother and not actually being related to us. If the familial feeling is there, then it's still family.
