What I always hated was having to organize everything according to an uber-strict form that would lose you points if you deviated it from any way.
That's a problem with math classes, not math.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
I still don't see what the fucking point of algeba, fractions or long division was.
You mean you don't use it in your everyday life? How sad.

@crow
Seriously thought, as the leper once said to his wife, where's the point?

I'll do a thing. I don't know. It's a thing in progress. Respect the thing.

That is not logical to me either, JT.
where's the point?
I guess I'm kind of biased, but I find it hard to imagine a life without math. What do you even plan to do?

Can you be a bit more specific? I'm not sure what you're asking me.

Cadence is the godess of maths.

Oh right. Silly me. I'm planning on being a journalist one day and I suppose my biggest hobby is writing. I have a casual interest in history too I guess but not enought to join any clubs or pursue a career in it.

That's what bugs me. Yeah, I can understand why the Electrical Engineers need Calc 1-3, but what does a CECS major need with that?
Are you a bad enough dude to argue with waz? (your chances are better than you think, anyone can win if they use enough fallacies)
Heh, Maths. I got an A at GCSE level somehow, but I swear I didn't have a clue what I was doing. Some poor person must have got his results mixed up with mine. ^_^

The internet is the realm of chaos, but not all chaos is evil.
I would imagine that I would need calculus for complex physics modeling, and I'm sure there are cool algorithms that use it as well. I just haven't come across the need for any of that yet.
