Equestria Ponies are pretty hardcore eh, making EF-2 storm winds in their backyard so casually just to redistribute water.

I doubt that natural processes simply don't happen, and believe rather that the water cycle isn't moving fast enough for their needs so they manually overclock. (One shipment of rainclouds for Appleloosa and Dodge!)

They might actually have less problem with acid rain than we do, since they can just get mineral salts from the Earth Ponies or something to PH-balance the eventual rainwater.

That's just a bad habit she picked up from staying with Rarity every so often and getting into her private stash of trashy romance novels

Everypony knows that the liquid rainbows are made from the other remaining pieces of what used to be the Rainbow of Light since most of it went into the Elements of Harmony.

Anyways given the size of the duct at the bottom of the pond they might be doing filtering at ground level so Cloudsdale merely needs to store the water before making clouds.
