Ok, I'm not knowledgeable in that subject so her general lounging just comes across as laziness.

I still got an aching feeling about how this is going to end badly, and it is going to be at least partially RD's fault.

she is lazy, but it's not in the "I don't want to ever put in effort into anything" type lazy, she's just easily bored and hates doing stuff that she doesn't find interesting/important. But long as she knows something is important she's more the willing to give everything she has to help out.

I think this might be a double episode, and I also think that there's a possibility that she caused some problem, at least unintentionally. Maybe she was too harsh on Fluttershy while she was training that it reduced her to tears or something like that (which I think is pretty likely).

Then her lesson will be something like, "accept your friends for who they are, including their limitations." While Fluttershy's will be more like "don't be embarrassed about asking for extra help or being behind others"

she did fine leading the weather crew during WWU, the only issue they had was AJ and Fluttershy fighting over whether to clear the sky faster or slower.

Yeah, I think Rainbow is pretty competent. I've met people like her. They act kind of immature but they always get higher grades than you and procrastinate less. HOW DO THEY DO IT? HOW?

RD is plenty competent when she wants to be, the issue is..when she WANTS to be. Long as she knows something is important she will go all out and do whatever it takes, but if she doesn't think it's important she'll just half-flank it.

unless it's gym class, pretty sure RD's grades would be a lot lower, and a lot more procratinating.
