@Blue What's not to love about Spike? He's manly and moustachioed.

Andrea Libman (Where's that page, brony topers?) has a twitter, though its nowhere near as goofy as Tara Strong's.

Tabitha St. Germain as far as I know doesn't have any social media accounts, but she occasionally responds to fan mail and comments on her blog over on her website. Her manner of wording things is...interesting.

What's wrong with Spike? He's a lot more flat and less nuanced than the main characters, for one thing. But that doesn't make him a bad character. I think its more to do with how he's used than his actual personality. The show kinda treats him like a prop. He just hangs around, does occasional commentary on things, he seems to stubbornly refuse to get involved in the main plot. So maybe him having a focus episode will actually change my mind about him.

Don't get me wrong, there are a few episodes I loved him in (Winter Wrap Up, Lesson Zero, It's About Time, I don't remember anymore atm).

Wasn't he the focus in Owl's Well?

I also don't personally see how he's flatter but to each's own I suppose

Rainbow Dash was pretty flat for the first season, but she's gotten some growth. Spike has too, though, so they're probably even on flatitude.

Also, Secret of My Excess is in my Top 5 episodes, so I feel a bit biased towards Spike.

I think Bluespade thinks that he needs to be more involved in the show and characters in general rather then being mostly a Satellite Character for Twilight.

At least that is the impression I got.

Exactly. He doesn't necessarily need more focus episodes, he just needs to do more. Same deal for Scootaloo.

But if Scootaloo gets an actual personality we won't be able to have all our memetic fun!

@Ginger: There are extremely minor characters I like too. I just think that if you have an ensemble cast and some of the characters don't do very much, they're obviously going to be overlooked. But I'm considered somewhat weird for really liking Rhea from Dark Souls, a character who you meet three times who only has about 6 lines.
