poeple eat a TON of food with there hands, it's just stuff that' impracticable or messy to use you hands on that you need silverware, but why not remove the middle man if you not actually touching it anyway?

@seraphem: because grabbing food might require more control than some unicorn can do? It's just easier to use utensils to spoon soup instead of grabbing globs of it with magic, for example.
