@Ace, This is growing the beard in your eyes? Hmm, time to show off.

And I'm looking foreward to Dragon Quest. More Spike is always better.

Is that more views than you had last time? I don't remember you passing 10k before, but I have bad memory.

@Sky Strike: Yeah, I believe it is.

@storyyeller: Is that really the go to explanation for everything that happens in this episode?

I haven't paid attention to my views since the 3, 000s. I want critique, not numbers.

Fair enough. I started paying attention to views ever since I met a girl with 20 (really crappy) deviations and 18k views >_>

Well NOW I'm going to pay attention, nothing makes me pay attention more than the unworthy.

Yes, yes it is.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".

@Mousa: Well, I've still got 24 years of nonstop doodling ever since I could hold a crayon, but then again my skills have plateau'd out so I need another paradigm shift before I can evolve my drawing technique again. Also, perspective and proportion and composition are still a pain in the gluteus maximus.

@Ace, I have only 13 years of drawing under my belt and I agree, completion and perspective are nightmarish like nothing else, compositin was basically my art teacher's biggest critique when I was working on my death series. I'm pretty sure I plataued about 3 years ago and I may have actually been getting worse.

I feel young.

wait, if there disaster proofing Equestria, why are they filling the water tower, wouldn't it make more sense to limit how much water is in it in case it ruptures?

Also, I doubt you're plateauing, Mousa. I suspect you're probably refining at this point. Drawing for something like a tumblr or an art class can really help, because you HAVE to draw, and you can't wait until it's perfect.

@AHR: A bit.

@Mousa: 13 years isn't enough to plateau, I should think.

To be fair, I can admit to basically abusing the Internet as a springboard for my style by replicating the styles of a lot of random artists/fanartists from the Web to springboard my drawing technique, as well as using how-to-draw guides aplenty for extra experience. On general principle, I absolutely refused to trace because I hold the belief that if I can reverse-engineer a drawing and (partially) reproduce it (or better if the original piece was... lacking), I learn much more than if I cheaped out and traced it. One thing in particular I spent a lot of time grinding up was gesture drawing because it helps a great deal, also I focus a lot on expressions/body construction and have a ton of schematics doodles breaking down custom-job powered armor I conceptualized myself.

In more pony-related news, my sister used to collect G1 ponies and my mother doesn't quite get why I got new brushable ponies lately (Mane Six plus Honeybuzz plus extra-large Dashie) [lol]

I can't draw whatsoever, so I think most internet art is good.

Anyway, I'm going to a congregation of food trucks. Bye.

No, we're not praising, we're on the long and winding road of self-analysis an art critique and "reasons why I suck", "No u don't" cycle.
