AJ has had a ton of screen time this season. So much so I'd call this the apple season.
Tealove is best pony.
Pony Fanon Workshop
What if we quantify it by how much more we know about each character this season? I wonder how that stacks up?
you will go to the paper towns and you will never come back
Someone make a graph of how much airtime and dialogue everypony got so far this season!

We've learned that Applejack is good at remembering her past lessons, and that she has an incredibly irrational fear of letting others down that can lead to her doing some very shortsighted things

Disappointing others is a perfectly rational fear.
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.
When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.
When it drives you to run away from home, I'd say it's getting just a bit irrational.

Ginger...relax, from that small, small description we don't know it's all a bout Pinkie, for all we know it could be an ensemble piece. And yeah AJ hasn't really had her own episode, but she has played a decent part in a very large number of them. And she's definitely gotten more screen time then some others of the Mane 6. If any Mane 6 pony got gypped on screen time it's either Twilight (who had the majority of last season to herself anyway) or Fluttershy.
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
So, we're getting an homage to Murder on the Orient Express in an upcoming episode? I have just felt my heart grow by three sizes!

On the other hoof, we'll probably have Pinkie as her usual cartoonish self rather than an actual human being.

I'd really prefer it if we got more relatable Pinkie, but if I'm right, Pinkie'll go overboard and be her "wacky" self. Maybe we'll get a nice shout out to Hercule Poirot though (The character). That'd make me so happy. Augh! I'm completely torn on this.

It'd great if they did reintroduce Tank, but I haven't got high hopes.

You really should give her a shot, Ginger, There are a number of incredibly competent villains in her novels( those where the antagonist qualify as villains anyway). I'd recommend you read Curtain: Poirot's Last Case as proof, but, well it's the last book in that series.

Hell, I wanna see Tank too.
Has he ever appeared outside of that ep? Even in the background?

Not surprising, seeing as how you're utterly picky with what you read.
I've never finished any of her books either. I started reading The Body in the Library, but I kind of forgot about it after a couple of chapters.

Oh come on, lot of people are fans of Poirot. I even counted a few in this thread who brought it up besides yourself, so it can't be that disconcerting.

Actually, it's because I'm not a big reader.
FO:E and ASOIAF are the only things that've gotten me back to reading with anykind of frequency

Hm, I like my hardboiled detectives for sure, but there's just something that appeals to me about detectives like Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, and Father Brown. I guess it's the way they have little eccentricities which they actively inflate to put people off their guard.

I wasn't even aware of this Agatha Christie perso until I saw her Doctor Who episode.

Really Mousa? I'm surprised, she's fairly widely known even outside the detective fiction circles.
