I'm sad, because I might not even get to see the episode tomorrow. The new time falls right smack in the middle of my D&D campaign, and I can't bail on it because I did that last week.

I think it might be best to stop playing altogether, because it's such a huge time sink and causes all sorts of merry hell with my weekends besides getting in the way of watching the show, but it's really the only time I ever get to see my friend now.

CDRW: I dunno about you, but I'd love it if I could still play table top games with my friends (but they couldn't keep a schedule if their lives depended on it). My two cents would be to stick with, especially if that's the only time you see them.

@ Kuroi: It is fun and all that, but I can't keep doing twelve hour game sessions, and every time I try to bow out early they try to talk me into staying! The only time I can actually get away is if I have a concrete appointment to do something life-threatingly important. And it doesn't help that I've somehow become the sort-of leader for the adventuring party since my friend is the DM and the other two players are new. It means that when I stop playing, usually they can't do anything important without me there.

Pretty good. I've been working all day, but I have the next week off of classes. Which means more time spent at my job and working on papers. But still, it saves me two hours of driving every day.

Couldn't you just ask them if you could cut the sessions a bit shorter or something?

I'm the same... I have to take the bus in like one hour, but thankfully the bus station is within walking distance. Unfortunately, it's cold and raining. The worst weather for walking with luggage... ><

backish, and I really don't think the thread has been all that slow, it's just Quantum Thread Effect, it seems like it goes slow if your paying attention to it. it may have seemed a bit sluggish for a week or two now, but Stoyyeller did tell us that it could be because the two weeks before that were the most active the thread has been yet, so it just slowed down to normal after.

Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.

Think you could talk to the DM about making his designs more flexible, putting in check points where it would be easy to stop mid dungeon?
