Ah, the plot thickens!

...So when the episode does air, we'll be putting the happy couple in Mane Family Members?

And I don't see why people would get upset at Twilight suddenly having a brother. They've managed to go almost two seasons without so much as mentioning Applejack, the pony with the largest family, even has parents!

And for that matter, we don't know anything about Twilight's parents other than they're unicorns that managed to get their daughter applied to Celestia's School. This is a chance to learn more about the main character's family. This is all good news!

meh, your always going to get a negative reaction to ANYTHING from someone at least, and again it ain't cannon till the show airs.

It is silly to get worked up over this. The only problem I can see with this is that it may damage fanon, yet noone complained when we got canon luna, which I don't think anyone expected her to be like, yet noone diliked her.
