^No, he doesn't. It seems like they understand Equestrian, but can't speak it, like Angel or some of the other animals.

Well, I think I know what it was in general, but I do want to know how extreme his reaction was.

For the record, I didn't like it at all. I'm a big Rarity fan, but her actions in that scene were way out of line.

@CDRW, And charming away Spike's hard earned gem wasn't out of line either? Oh the sliding scale of precious morality.

But my reaction is not extreme in this episode, all it does is further confirm how I already perceive her, however I was not happy with the harm and suffering caused to her by Fluttershy's cruel cruel words. I felt bad for her and Pinkie, and I thought the both of them made a valiant effort in trying to help their friend, even if their methods were dubious.
