I think I saw the episode while you were out Ginger. I thought it was nice, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I loved fluttershy's expressions.

Huh, didn't even notice that about the page numbers. They just came that way.

Also I enjoyed Pinkie and Rarity in this episode too. But Rarity? Don't be a tart...it dosn't suit you.

There was a lot of Cringe Comedy, and Iron Will was pretty much exactly how I imagined him. Not too much that surprised me besides just how far Fluttershy went with being a witch with a capital B.

Oh, and Rarity was a bad pony.

I still haven't had time to see the episode... too much homework. =| I may be pushing myself a little hard, though, so once I finish this assignment I'm done with this nonsense.

Anyway, I'm slightly worried by all this Rarity-is-a-tart talk...

By the way, I decided to look at the thread post activity, even though the numbers aren't 100% accurate.

It looks like part of the reason the last 2 weeks seemed so slow is that the week before that was faster than normal. In fact, it set a new record for peak posting rate. Twice.

It's largely because she used her "feminine wiles" to talk a nerdy pony into giving Fluttershy his asparagus. Other than that she's fine.

I think the other reason the thread is slowed down is because of the time change. Apparently not as many people in this thread can watch the episode as it happens, so instead of a mass post where everybody talks nonstop, the new viewers are spread out more. So we didn't get that inital huge rush of posts like we normally do, but I think the conversation will last longer because so many people have to put off watching the episode.

The worst part of the Cringe Comedy was Fluttershy trying to be assertive like her friends.

That is really odd, since there was probably a good four-five minutes worth of it in the market secne, that is what I didn't like about the beginning.

Just wait till Mousa shows up. Besides Pinkie wasn't so great either.

I agree that the ending was pretty shaky; once they got out of the marketplace things got a bit better, though.

I didn't think Pinkie was that bad this episode, actually. If anything, I was more irritated by Rarity's cheating that guy out of his asparagus.

Yeah, this was a Merriweather ep. I'm not sure if it's the dialogue or the voice, but Pinkie just seems more... pleasant and kind and fallable when controlled by her

Cringe comedy is negated with sufficient dickery. That doesn't necessarily work with me.

It was also written by Charlotte Fullerton (or at least the story was), she also wrote Baby Cakes, and May the Best Pet Win this season.

I liked Pinkie this episode too. Especially the Duck Season bit...Loony Toons references for the win!

Now if they could just learn to write Rainbow Dash as something other then a major jerk.
