I did take calculus, and it inspired me to switch to liberal arts.

Same here. One semester of AP Calculus in high school and after that I made it a point to avoid as much math as I could. I've only taken one math class since then, and it was on cooler stuff like fractals.

It's nothing personal, I just suck at it. Every math class I've ever been in built up too much momentum; I'd get behind on one of the concepts and could never catch up. Calculus is the only class I've ever come close to failing.

I don't actually dislike math, and up to about precalc I was pretty good at it and actually enjoyed it. But I knew that I wouldn't be able to force myself to study enough to keep up with the higher levels. I'm sort of a terrible student. So I just took AP calc to save myself from college level math classes and never looked back.

Ug, so much math hate. I feel alone.

Personally, I'm cheering my last ever humanities class. After this semester, it will be all math and CS, and possible a mandatory ISYE class or two.

If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".

Well, good news, my dog won't have to be put down. She has to wear a cone though, and we're going to have to clean blood off the carpet for the next few days until her anal glands heal. Also, I went to my first professional-league game today (Carolina Hurricanes vs. the NY Rangers), and it was... actually quite fun. 'Canes got their butts beat as per usual, but oh well.

I wasn't taking it personally. I feel almost the same way about English classes. From my experience, different teachers/professors always look for different things in writing, so it can be hard to know how to write to suit them. I almost failed my first semester of English because I had no idea what to change about my writing. Okay, that's not really close at all, but still. *

Kisame, that's great. I missed your post before, but I lost my dog a few years back to cancer, so it's actually nice to hear your dog is fine.

I will admit that a lot of literature analysis is total crap that the author probably didn't intend. I tend to not care about searching for meaning in favor of looking at how the author wrote, and why the characters do what they do. It's much more useful in learning how to write than trying to make everything into an allegory.

Also, I suck at every sport except ultimate frisbee and badminton.

I don't really follow any sports except American Football.
