@Bad Wolf Who: Actually, during a previous slaying of Dracula, he cursed the Belmont clan to outright suck at EVERYTHING they do OTHER than killing him, making the entire family line complete wastes to society until he becomes resurrected. Thus, the reason why the full extent of Trixie's power outside of slaying monsters with the family whip is mere parlor tricks. XD

There are three constants in the universe: creation, destruction, and Fate. Guess which one am I? - Id the Imp

Hmm.. I guess I'm just used to Java because I don't feel any of those things really restrict me in any way. And I do like the readability, though that's possible with all of those languages.

I do admit though that Python is a tons more fun to write in. I had a blast when I was learning it. <3

@ David: Weird, how many videos was that. There looked like there was a lot but a lot of those were the same video.

@ Ud: Well then Trixie must be super awesome if she can overcome the curse to be as good as she is in a normal setting. Although you'd think he'd curse the other way, be good at mundane stuff and bad at slaying him. So, who's the reincarnation of this Dracula then? Pipsqueak?

Yeah, Python's my favorite language too.

All I know about Python is that Blender uses it or something like that xD

My dad wrote a Python library for building web applications a while back, and it's really cool. Unfortunately, nobody he worked with wanted to learn Python, so he ended up porting the framework to PHP and Java and it still works just as well. All of the languages have their advantages and disadvantages, otherwise they wouldn't be used for anything.

I should probably learn to use Py Game sometime. Could be fun to make that Daring Do game with it. Would be the perfect excuse to learn it. ^^

So I just read Our True Colours. It was pretty good. Switches between Scootaloo's and Pinkie's POV, only 6 chapters long and is sad.

Re: Coding: I'm actually learning C++ right now. It's a little frustrating, since I'm used to Visual Basic's more detailed debugging feedback, but it's much more powerful in my experience. I guess I like it.

Re: Singer: My best guess would be Ted Nugent, but that's not even really a surprise.

^Yeah, those humanizations are good. =)

From my experience, the hardest part of making a game (well, a 2D game at least, I'd imagine 3D physics are exponentially more difficult than 2D) isn't the actual coding, it's the art. Proper sprite design and animation is incredibly difficult and time consuming. It's one thing to make a good looking sprite, but it's a whole other thing to create natural looking animations from it. I'm an awful artist, so right now my game prototypes are populated by moving circles and squares rather than proper art.

I was going to post about how Rainbow was so cool she didn't need weapons but then I saw that she actually had one. Not quite sure how I missed that.

I have an amateur's foundation in animation, so while I can't code I know the basics of getting motion to look right, and am willing to redraw (nerdrage at mistakes) until something moves right.

@Perpetual Lurker: Haha, oh man, I used to do so much pixel art for fun back in the early to mid-00's. I still have some skill left! But I usually draw everything by hand. I'm rather terrible at digital painting. Especially since I lack a tablet. When I was thinking of doing a Daring Do Adventure Game I was thinking that maybe I could use my markers to draw and colour the animated parts and watercolour the backgrounds, haha! I have never tried animation by hand and haven't done watercolours for years but I felt it'd be an awesome reason to get around to doing that again and learning more artsy things.
