Anyway, this has got me wondering if it's any coincidence that so many of Amy Keating Rogers's episodes have had Pinkie Pie at her most oblivious.

On the topic of the rock farm:

Pinkie's parents were originally very successful farmers before the Parasprites came. After the Parasprites ate all of their crops, the Pies had to sell rocks until they could get enough money to sell seeds again. Pinkie is the only one of her siblings to remember before the Parasprites came, hence her depressed nature. Seeing the Rainboom gave her enough hope to try and plan a party, but she used the money that the family was saving to do it. When they found out, Pinkie was promptly exiled. This moment was very traumatic for her and comes back to her whenever she feels alone.

Okay guys so I'm about to leave...to another tab on my browser for a few minutes. Just not gettin' into the flow tonight (even the best stallion has those nights). Larsen wrote Swarm of the Century, Sonic Rainboom, Cutie Mark Chronicles, Return of Harmony pt 1 & 2, Luna Eclipsed, Secret of My Excess, and The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000.

In other words, Larsen is great at writing everything except Pinkie Pie.
