Hmm, let's see what I missed while I slept.. Drama over Derpy? Yeah, that was a bit of a betrayal towards the fandom from Hasbro but eh, doesn't affect the future episodes and we have the original copies. Good to see the fires are being actively extinquished.

Don't hurricanes build up over the ocean and then head inland? I don't think we've even seen an ocean in the series so far. Maybe there's on just on the other side of the Everfree or something?

And Derpy can't be on the hurricane team, she's far to busy single hoofedly wrestling tornadoes to the ground.

I'm opposed to censorship, and think the re-tooled Derpy scene is stupid and pointless. In the grand scheme of things, though, this is just a storm in a teacup. I have more important things to worry about.

You know what? I don't think any of this would have happened...

Had ONE PERSON on the team looked up Derpy Hooves, realized it was a female model, and TOLD EVERYONE ELSE THAT IT WAS A GIRL!

There. No issues with the voice. No complaints about the eyes (because really, they hadn't complained by the time TLR came out). No problems with the name (since "derp" isn't a term for mental illness OUTSIDE OF THE INTERNET.) And we could have TLR without any hiccups or edits.

The lesson? If you're going to include a popular fan character, make sure you know SOMETHING about them before you make the frickin' episode!

Don't blame the production team. Blame all the sensitive little souls who kicked up a fuss about a cartoon pony being "offensive".

On a more positive note, I'm really looking forward to the Scootaloo episode.

I heard the news and read the reactions...

All I'll say is...new voice is OK.

Unless you have access to knowledge from the future, I'm pretty sure we currently have no word on a Scootaloo episode.

I don't really like the new voice, but that's probably because I'm used to the old one. I'm sure if they used that voice to start with I wouldn't have any issues with it.

It's not the voice people have an issue with. It's the fact that the scene was censored. It's annoys me but I'm not about to proclaim the show is Ruined FOREVER.

Ah, this new episode sounds good. So bad weather does happen, but the Pegasi can fight to undo it?

I assume bad weather can drift in from areas the pegasi don't regularly control. I almost referenced a scene where a storm drifted in from over the Everfree forest, but that was probably from a fanfic.

Just how big is the Everfree Forest?

Eh, I don't mind the new scene. But then again I'm not a fan of Derpy.

The Everfree Forest does have a river, and that water has to come from somewhere.

Pretty big? I guess? There isn't much in the show to give us a sense of it's size.

Morning, gents. I have to say, the way the fandom seems to feel the need to get worked up over every perceived slight wearies me. I'm not talking about all of you, but rather the fandom at large. I'm perhaps a little sad that they changed a few things about the character, but really, do people not have better things to do with their time than rage? I figured since a good portion of us are adults, we could be adults about this.

Anyway, I think the Everfree is a fairly large forest. Otherwise I think of it like Rhyhope Wood, a folded space. It's esentially boundless on the interior while only a few miles on the outside.

Apparently, The Last Roundup on the friendship express dvd was altered so Derpy was no longer walleyed and they altered her voice.
