Are you reading more than 500 posts a day yet? We appear to average at least that many posts a day so your percentage isn't actually going to increase unless you view the total as the point you actually joined the current conversation. And even then you'd only be catching up by .5% a day.
I'm still here.
I'm
always here.
Watching.
Judging.

Actually it will increase, as long as the rate he reads is at least 39.82% of the average posting rate, which it is (you may have noticed that the numbers have in fact increased over the last few days). The problem is that it will never reach 100%. Based on current trends, it's expected to asymptotically reach somewhere in the 50s.
By the way, everyone should check out
this cool post
I found. Who would have guessed that something like that would appear in the thread?
Yes, I totally just linked to a future post that doesn't exist yet, just to mess with the minds of future readers.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
...Yeah, you're right, come to think of it. That's a really silly mix up for me.
But what are the odds that that post will actually be cool?
Now we have to remember to tell whoever gets that post to say something cool when it comes up.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
Actually, I don't think that's likely. While there are a lot of them, they don't take up that high a fraction of the posts. Remember, the greetings and goodbyes only happen twice a day, so they're outweighed by the actual content that gets posted during the day.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
You, my good sir, get a 10.
Just because you asked nicely.

If you wish to know, you only need to ask.
@storyyeller Back for a while. Are you going to hold on to that post number so we know when we'll reach it?
The ponies are all actually two inches tall.
But anyway, yeah, there's some pretty weird stuff you can do with the wiki/forum coding. Did you guys ever see Solstace's troper page before Fast Eddie nuked it?
Nope. What was it like?
Are you going to hold on to that post number so we know when we'll reach it?
It's 131072, or 2^17. Easy enough to remember.
Anyway, I can't believe that actually worked. I assumed there'd be an error if you try to go to a nonexistent page.

Ok, wtf? Going to
page 999x999999
produces actual content? What is the forum software smoking?
Edit: On closer inspection it appears that the page of results returned is based on the number formed by truncation at the first non numeric digit. However, the numbers displayed in the page links is the number formed by concatenation of all numeric digits, even after a letter.
Also, you can put in negative numbers, which it will happily display. If you do so, it won't turn up page 1 like normal.
