I'm pretty sure the last book I read in it's entirety was Taliesin by Stephen Lawhead. Either that or one of the Uncle John's Bathroom Reader books.

EDIT: Pagetopper.

@Seraph I tried reading Redwall, but I gave up around Legend of Luke. So many books.

Anyway, last book I read was probably Fire World from this series. It messes with your head.

NO, STOP IT SKY, bedtime for real. Good night.

Understanding Bronies with SCIENCE.

This is actually really cool. Apparently, he's going to end up writing a book on the topic.

I had to read The Metamorphosis (in English) for class, but it's way too depressing for me.

[up][up][up]I was waiting for that. It would be too weird if no scientists see what a gold mine the brony community is.

[up][up]I orginally read that as The Metamorphoses, but that's completely different. If you really want to be depressed read Dispatches, the memoir of an embedded reporter during the Vietnam war. The one story that sticks with me is of one young man who never boarded his plane to go home after his tour of duty because he was convinced the Viet Cong would shell the airstrip as soon as he boarded.

[up][up]I remember seeing a picture of the good doctor at Bronycon, but I didn't realize how serious he was about the topic.

Actually I was more expecting grad students. Years ago they were the ones doing surveys on online communities. Anyway I really hope they're as objective as they said they would be.

@storyyelley and drenius

I haven't read either of those and hadn't heard of the second one until just now.

I can honestly say that, from the excerpt I had to read, that The Metamorphosis is weird.

I just looked into Der Process. Talk about a Wall of Text! Is Kafka allergic to linebreaks or something?

@emi "The Meowmorphosis." It's a book about a man whose job is so dehumanizing that he becomes... a fluffy kitten!smile

@storyyeller Yeah, I found it boring because I got barely any context at first. I got reinvigorating after I heard a bit in English and discovered that it was actually somewhat funny. Now I just need to start reading it again...

Completely offtopic here (even with whatever you guys are currently discussing), but I've decided to try beating the original Metroid for the NES, which so far has turned out to be quite the experience, considering how badly it has aged. So far, I've reached Kraid's Lair, I have the Screw Attack, the Long Beam, Missiles, the ever-so-needed Icebeam, and the High Jump Boots.

It's pretty decent, but confusing as all hell xD

I guess the Meowmorphosis would be my "currently reading" book. I got about halfway through it before I had to start classes again. I got it as an advance review copy but I have prettymuch missed the deadline for the review!

Im also reading FOE but thats a guilty pleasure to be taken only when homework is done and work is slow and the tablet computer that I share with my boyfriend hasnt gone to work with him instead.

Since I'm currently re-reading through the Harry Potter series, the last book I finished was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and I'm currently reading through Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. There are other books I'm also reading through at a slower pace in smaller pieces (Pokémon Adventures manga, the Josefina books in the American Girls series and a Sailor Moon book series) but the Harry Potter one is the main one.

Tecnically it's not off topic. The main theme besides ponies is Friendshipgrin.

Never played it myself. But I have heard many awesome things of that game.
