She may as well be a background pony at this point, she needs episodes, and the show needs more ensemble episodes in general.

The phoenix one was the last episode she had to herself, which means it's almost a full season between Fluttershy episodes. WTF.

Yeah, I mean, Apple Jack might be the straight man (and thus not always an interesting plot carrier), but Fluttershy lacks the strength to carry almost anything.

Perhaps they thought they gave Flutters too much last season or didn't give some of the others enough. I think last season AJ had 3, Rainbow had like 2, Rarity... I think it was four, Pinkie had 1, and every other episode was a Twilight episode. Maybe it's a balancing act

And the general response seems to range from adaquate but annoying to liked it but annoying.

Ok. Cool. I liked the moral, although they had a tough job conveying said moral in the episode. And the song made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, since her philosophy definitely struck a chord with me, since I have recently acquired Friendship.
