Yeah, there's a Tales crossover. I keep meaning to try it out, but I've never played Tales so it's low priority for me.
I'm in search of a new avatar again.
To be honest, I had a look at the fic before and it feels too much like Tales and not enough pony.
In the fic, are the ponies the mane characters but set in a Tales world with a Tale plot? Or is it a crossover fic?

Well, the Mane Six portrayls in that fic felt slightly off to me. They didn't feel quite like the Mane Six I know and love.

That is my reason for why I never read fics of any story. Of what few fics I have bothered to read, the characters never feel the same as the original source.

To be honest I never expect the characters to be exactly the same as the source, more so in a crossover fic.This is mostly because different people have different interpretations of characters, and unless the author specifically makes it like an episode they are going to be in different situations then we are used to them seeing.
Well, I'm off to read some more FE (and head home of course.)
