Oh yeah, the bet. I was going to do some art, but I need someone who actually won to give me a prompt.

I suggest footnoting the Daring Do page to ask people to not add any new character without starting here first, and the same on the Main page with Expanded Universe material. We should mention this is a ongoing project that several people are working hard on keeping constant in tone, theme, and ideas as well as staying in line with the cannon of the page.

Well you're technically wrong about that since I've already forgotten what happened to everybody else, but that's probably cause I don't care. But if 5 main characters have horrible endings and 1 has a good ending, then I don't think it's hard to tell which character the author liked.

I have an idea about Alicorn's Shadow, since that's my bet payup even if no one seems to have any idea for it. So the artifact is reportedly the Cloak of Shadows, which can shroud its bearer in shadows and allow them to travel from one shadow to the next. Or maybe allow you to shroud yourself in any guise you wish. Or maybe it shrouds your surroundings with despair. Scholar's couldn't agree which one is true, although they all agree that it was once a raiment of Nightmare Moon and would as such be found in the site of the last battle between Celestia and NMM. Problem is no one is sure where that is, as legend has it Celestia and NMM dueled in a private space so as to not harm anypony.

In reality the artifact is just a memento (a doll? A hair accessory?) that holds all of Luna's lingering sentiment. In the presence of other ponies it recreates Luna's (and NMM's) memories up to the fateful moment of banishment. So it does have NMM's power but it's ultimately useless for anyone who is not Luna or Celestia. So that's the twist. I'm just not sure how well this will mesh with the Myth Arc (which, by the way, is what?)

Maybe have NMM try to Body Surf Daring and company? A battle in the center of the mind?

The Season 2 finale will be a two-parter.

As to the Myth Arc:

All of the artifacts play into Az's plot, all of them are keys to or part of a sacred Ritual that takes place in the Temple Of Nightmare Moon (which is the final artifact, sort of) and will allow the user to supposedly channel her power and bring about Eternal Night. The twist is that Daring destroys the temple but has already gathered all the artifacts at the University, where The Mole is in charge and has sponsored an exhibit that is a exact replica of the Temple. Daring arrives back and is automatically captured and locked in her office, Herpy then escapes and gathers all her old friends to save her and stop Az.

I was thinking more of shadow adventuring inside the Castle of Royal Pony Sisters. The illusion comes and goes.

Ah, ok, just making sure. So I suppose it's more of is anyone okay with one of the artifacts being a fake? Ahuizotl will still show up and everything since even he's convinced that the artifact has real power.
