I also hope he's going for comical exaggeration.

STACK DAT CHEESE
I remember being at the pool once and feeling a sudden pain on my shoulder, looking over and seeing this huge horsefly taking a chomp out of it. Damn things.
I hate horseflies.
It's so cool how this thread has just been an explosion of activity...
Can you think inside the chimney?
Never see horseflies in PA. I'm ready for some awesome shipping action tomorrow.
With a wife like that who can blame him?
I know, it's been fantastic, especially the speed which it developed the Daring Do mythos, but I've also been a bit daunted by the speed with which it's exploded.

So, now that we've seen that Equestria has adventure novels, what do you think their other genres are like? Did their literature go through a Gothic movement similar to ours? What would the central plots of their mysteries focus on, thefts? If they have any speculative fiction, is it along the lines of Verne or is it in some ways closer to Burroughs?

Well not us specifically, I'm talking about literature at large. Sheridan Le Fanu, Shelley, and that crowd.

We went through a gothic movement? When?

Around Mary Shelley and
Frankenstein, I'd imagine. Poe and the like could also be considered Gothic at a stretch, I think.

I think that we should have a consistent visual style for the character images. The easiest option would be to palette swap ponies from the show, so that it fits in with the image of Daring.
It's pronounced "Te-ah-low-ve"
Yeah, Derring and Darrin need pictures

And Darrin should resemble Macintosh; he's a pretty muscular guy. Maybe give him glasses to give him a slightly harmless look?
