Well, I gave in fast. Kinda glad I did, spending the next two days knowing I could watch it would have been torture. Really good episode. Can't wait to see some of the reaction images from this.

@Calnos: You think you're behind? I didn't get around to playing the first Uncharted until Christmas, and I only got around to picking up Final Fantasy XIII like yesterday.

Anyway, I'm just glad that the reception has been positive. Gives me something to look forward to. If people watched and said it was going to be trouble the next two days would be torturous.

I've been reading this fic

, and the only immersion breaker is that the writer paints Equestria as being far more of a sugarbowl utopia than it really is. Other than that, it's an interesting and more cerebral look at how ponies and humans might differ in mentality.

I tried reading the first chapter, but I couldn't get over my initial "So, it's ARTICLE 2, but boring, " reaction. The POV jumps were really annoying too.

@Ace: I find that a lot of fans of the show tend to assume that Equestria is far more idyllic then it really is.

There is no such thing as background ponies.

What sparked that discussion?

From the sounds of some of the comments it sounds like ponies in that fic have no concept of conflict. Which is dumb.
