Pony security guards are canon.

I love Aztec stuff actually, I just got through running an Aztec inspired rpg campaign.

And now the security ponies are...barking? Whuh?

Nope, there are also security guards wearing typical security gear. With flashlights!

Yeah, I mean, imagine how long it took for the book to describe that stone tile-hopping scene, if the description of the cloying, oppressive jungle atmosphere is any indication of the writing style.

Also, if Ahuizotl really wanted to be sure of Daring's Do's definite demise, he really shoulda just sicced those morning-star-wielding jungle cats on her and had done with it.

One of them seemed to be an actual guard.

@Ginger: That one orderly that chased the crazy barking pony back to the hospital had a badge as his cutie mark if I remember right.

And there definitely had to be more to the story than what we saw; as Dash was reading at a decent pace and apparently read straight through the night.

And Dash probably was reading quite slow. The way she initially started reading most definitely sounded like she was rusty.

It would appear that having Rainbow burst into her bedroom last episode has led Fluttershy to start sleeping in a robe.

@Bad That one stallion looked more like an orderly to me. I'm not sure if orderly is just a synonym for security guard though

Well that episode was pretty... alright. The story-in-a-story wasn't very interesting, but it was nicely animated. It was cool to see a Rainbow-centric episode that didn't make her a total asshole, but then again she did resort to petty theft...

Oh well, it was all around ok.

@Ginger: Well, if Daring Do challenged Spitfire to a race for some reason or other...

They're not that hard, you just have to get used to spelling them.

@Badwolf: It's not set in stone, especially if Daring chooses the racecourse as her handicap. (Insert bad Legend of the Hidden Temple joke here, comlete with a deep-voiced colt using a mild form of the Royal Canterlot Voice to give Olmec a powerful baritone)

I think Rainbow would know of Daring Do if she was a Wonderbolt, she is obsessed with them after all.

An obstacle course would probably make it fairer.

I like the Fannon that Fluttershy's father was a Wonderbolt

In a straight up race I'm certain any Wonderbolt would win, in an EXTREME Obstacle Course, Daring Do might have an advantage, I don't know.

On a different and less creepy note, it must be nice to have a cloudhouse like Dashie's since if you're a pegasi it's really easy to renovate.

Also Dashie totally has a Wonderbolt Shrine in one of her rooms, stuffed to the brim with all the memorabilia she could collect.

Dashie's skillset is prolly closer to Daring Do's than the Wonderbolts proper, with more agility and desterity and more parkour-style stunts compared to the Wonderbolt's pure aerobatics skillset.

I think they will, My own advice is to link it into our Noncanon page. So which subsection will it be under, Literature, Fanfiction, or what?
