That's good. i think 18 is too young as a limirt. at 21 at least you have 3 years o f ddulthood under your belt so you should hopegully be more senisbile.

Well since we are talking about it I haven't been drunk either.

From what little I have drank I have found that beer is worthless, wine is alright, and rum ain't bad either.

I've only been really drunk once before, but I've been buzzed a couple of times. It's difficult for me to really get drunk because of the sheer cost of it. A mickey (375 Ml) or 35% alcohol rum will only just get me there, and even then it's more buzzed than truly drunk because I'm still very articulate. The only time I've been well and truly drunk it took me a combined total of 22 different drinks and shots, several of which were straight alcohol and two of which were, "the most alcoholic thing you know how to mix".

Also, I was not at all hung over after that night.

Beer can be good, but for the most part it's something you drink because it's there, for me. But I've had some interesting stuff. I prefer Rum and Cokes, and their ilk.

SO MUCH THIS. I'm a frugal person and I'm used to drinking soft drinks, so the idea of blowing 20 dollars on drinks pretty much blows my mind. Which is why I only drink when it's free.

20 dollars? Try closer to 100... Of course that's at a bar, which is ridiculously priced. Actually buying hooch from a liquor store is cheaper, but still a lot of money for me.

The only kind of alcohol that I've tried that I actually liked was margaritas. So I don't drink, though I legally could. I'd probably like hard cider, though.

For what is apparently a Christmas episode, that was actually surprisingly good. And I guess it means that Luna either knew Starswirl the bearded herself or read about him in the old textbooks of the time. I was wondering how she knew about him since I assumed he probably came after her.

My family has no issues with alcohol more recently than one of my great grandfathers who died a long time ago, but since I'm not too good with moderation I probably shouldn't start drinking while a student.

I need to maintain nigh-absolute control over my neural processes so i cannot drink right now D: maybe once I no longer need to strictly govern my mind, I'll try getting utterly smashed on something nice and alcoholic.

I didn't even know it came in non-apple varieties. Dumb America, with its boring regular cider.

@Seraph: Ah... I know the feeling. I was initially sort of apprehensive about it because my dad used to be an alcoholic - not a bad one, mind, but I knew that it would be way to easy for me to fall into it if I let myself. I have very deliberate rules when it comes to drinking. Primarily, that I will only do it socially - I will never drink on my own, at least not beyond one drink. Even for social situation I have pretty careful rules about when I drink, as well. For example when going out to a club I have one drink as a primer, the next drink comes in conjunction with offering/buying a drink for someone else, and a third during the conversation, if it goes well. Things like that.

I do understand a lot of peoples apprehension with alcohol, but if you;re careful and limit yourself, it isn't a bad thing.

I've actually been thinking about going out this weekend. I'm getting worried that I might be burning myself out with school, since I've pretty much been working nonstop for the past 5 weeks. Problem is whenever I take a break I feel miserably unproductive...
