With that in mind there are reasons why ones personality is shaped. The flaws and strengths, which are never too far apart. They're pretty easy to spot in the show, but I do hope the writers dig deeper into the main characters persona.

Hell, with decent characterization Pinkie could easily be my favorite character. Lord knows she's close already. She just needs to be used properly.

She's such a sweet girl, after all; she just needs to be given more plots that allow that to come through.

Well let's see. She grew up in dreary environment, and learned how to bring happiness in others and herself. However, she constantly tries to bring joy...even when situations doesn't call for it. The result ends with her appearing to be annoying.

Dashie lived a life full of bad luck perhaps? Her drive to be awesome is also fueled by self-validation, much like Rarity with her self-made lady persona.

I'm waiting for RD's backstory the most.

And then she gives her umbrella away not 2 minutes after saying that.

Well, I just saw The Grey. Good film, but damn I may never watch "Hearth's Warming Eve" again.... or have pleasant thoughts about cold places + wolves again...

Huh, I wonder if there are sentient wolves in Equestria. Not the Timber Wolves, but like actual wolves. Might be cool...

Ponies might be a little frightened to deal with actual carnivores, mind. At least us humans are omnivores and we don't eat ponies.

Chinese and Mongolians don't eat horse unless they have to, and Singaporeans mostly prefer other kinds of meat (I prefer fish/chicken personally).

Well, even if most people don't eat horse, if they were to find out that some people do, that would probably be enough to put them on edge, maybe make them run away. So if Twi ever shows up, we keep her away from the Internet until we've gained her trust.

And speaking of Twi...

Yeah, we'd need to reassure them, although we generally won't eat stuff that can talk back. Also d'aaaaaw.

Well, still. Imagine if we were suddenly transported to a strange dimension where humans were non-sapient and something sapient occasionally ate them. Sure, they could reassure us that they wouldn't eat us because we don't talk back, but I dunno about you, but I'd still find it incredibly disconcerting.

For what it's worth, Cal, From everything I hear The Grey's wolves are pretty much thus in name only. I wouldn't expect to find anything like them anytime soon. An actual wolf is far more likely to avoid you than actually attack - they tend to know exactly what they like to hunt, because they know how to deal with it.

Honestly The Grey could be as good a movie as you like, I don't think I'd ever be able to watch it. I really like wolves, and have always sort of taken offense to their portrayal as savage killers.

But this has largely nothing to do with ponies. I'd been thinking about Hearts and Hooves... think we'll get a song in it? Something like Winter wrap-up? I kinda hope we get one for basically one reason only - A background shot of a two-colt couple. If they manage to sneak that in, I will love this show forever.

We'd have to win their trust over or something first then. I'm sure they'd soon realize we aren't really that dangerous to them. After all, once they're certain we won't be dangerous to them they'll open up a little.

Well *I* liked the movie, wolves, and there's a reason given why they're attacking Liam Neeson and people who are not Liam Neeson, but that's neither here nor there. (Liam Neeson should totally voice a pony)

And ya know, we did get a background stallion with a rainbow cutie mark in the last episode. He was having a drink with another male pony. Take that as you will.

Spoiler: The ponies decide humans are cute and start keeping them as pets, and humans are powerless to resist
