I don't know, with the exception of Celestia and Luna unicorn horns don't look sharp at all so them being born with them shouldn't be painful.

Well, there's still the issue of it getting... snagged. Which would be awkward. It's probably best that it's just soft. Then again, Pumpkin's looked pretty nubbly when she was first born, so it might not be much a protrusion for the first little while.

I never thought about about it but...yeah...Unicorn horns could be...awkward during foalbirth.

I'm OK. Finished my final test today...now I'm just resting.
For the first time in 6 months, I am truly free...but if I failed anything...I'll be a colleage flunk out. 
Which is pretty much the same as a drop out...
