I can see Pinkie Pie being a matchmaker. But more in the "you need to date this pony for a while to learn something" kind of sense than in the long term relationship sense.

I mean, there's no surprise there. Even if you do try it you go through the whole experience thinking about what the sense told you one way or another. You can't really get into it. That's why I think Pinkie would be up for trying stuff - she'd just want to get really into the moment for her partner. Can't really do that if you see it happen ahead of time.

Pinkie may not be an effective matchmaker by herself, but with somepony's help, she can contribute a lot, like say, helping prepare private parties for two
