I wouldn't be bothered by it so much if it weren't so, well, common, in fanfiction. It's almost silly, but I have more statistical qualms with it than moral problems. In real life, homosexual relationships are in the vast minority, but as soon as fanfiction takes a look at anything, suddenly homosexual relationships equal or outnumber heterosexual ones. It's not realistic, and it just bugs me. I have absolutely no problems with them in realistic contexts though, so I'm probably just being petty.
@Lurker: That's true in an actual population, but you can't really look at a collection of fan writing and say that it violates statistical probability. That's like saying that it's entirely unbelievable how many Heroes of Destiny come out of the fantasy section.
^^It should attract all people who try to do right by people, regardless of their religious beliefs or lack thereof. =)

Can you think inside the chimney?
@Syd I never have understood it myself :/
I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.

Randomly wondering now if the Valentine's episode launches any canon ships. Daisy/Colton comes to mind.

I'm talking more about within specific stories than stories in general. I might just be miffed at a particular story I was more or less enjoying ended up having 3-4 homosexual ships in it compared to the one hetero one, in addition to playing just about every shock value card in the book. I probably just need to read more, but shipping fics in general don't interest me so I'll probably never have a proper reference pool.
My personal favorite is Roseluck(she reminds me of Rose Tyler) and then Daisy

Well I just don't read fanfics, cause it's too hard to find good ones.

Land Games . It's a sort of Homestuck/Starcraft kind of thing.
^^Well, shipping in terms of background ponies is largely lesbian-centered, just because of the massively skewed sex ratios in terms of recognizable and returning characters (Lyra and Bonbon come to mind, but I couldn't tell you where I've seen Blues or Caramel more than once, and some of the other stallions are just as elusive). Not saying it's right, but I can see where it has its genesis.
I actually lampshaded it in a short fic I wrote - Twilight muses on why there are so many lesbian couples that they outnumber both gay male couples and heterosexual couples combined.

Can you imagine how scared the flower trio were when Discord came?

I'm also a Christian Brony. Hell, I know at least four gay people and am good friends with them XD
I refuse to be like those Westboro f*ckwipes >.>

They were turned into flowers.
...would have been my guess, anyway.

I would imagine that the general reality warping would have flipped their personalities or at least made them more silly. What if they ended up as swashbuckling adventurers for the duration of Discord's reign? That would be hilarious.
@ Moe: That reminds me of Bon-Bon. Has her voice ever been the same in two episodes?
