I think they've stated that they're doing more plot arc stuff next season, so 2 parters might be part of that. I'm sure it'll still be mostly slice of life though.
I'm somewhat in the middle. I wouldn't mind some adventuring, just a few episodes. But I also like the slice of life. I mostly just want to see Luna. Adventuring with Luna, throwing a birthday party for her because Celestia was too busy, whatever.
I don't really want more adventure, either. I like the slice-of-life episodes.
I want adventures, they are teh epics
On the other side Mare on the moon was very cool. I loved Nightnare moon
I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.

I'd like to see a balance of both. I have confidence they can do adventure just as well as the slice of life and I rather liked the pilot arc. And honestly, I think the pilot feels a bit weaker not because it's an adventure episode, but because it is the pilot. I think it's quite likely they were probably still getting a feel for what they wanted to do with the characters and the season at that point.
I think what'll probably happen will be that the big bad will take up the season arc - as in, the few episodes we got about the gala, this time around those episodes, plus your opening and maybe a couple more, will be about the big bad.
As much as I enjoy
Slice of Life, I wouldn't mind more adventure stuff. As long as there's more Princess Luna, of course.
You must know when to hold onto your cards, and you must know when to burn them in fire.
As long as they don't mess up the show in some horrible way, I'd love new content of either kinds. The one major complaint I have, though, has to do with your trouble with the toy Twilight, actually.
Why hasn't Hasbro realized the toys
should be in the new art style? Instead of some strange hybridization of the old and new?
"Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time..."
I want epic adventure AND slice of life. And more Spike-focused episodes. And a cookie.
I'd like to see more male pony characters, too.
You must know when to hold onto your cards, and you must know when to burn them in fire.
I think Hasbro wants them to look a little more like actual equines than the in-show and everywhere else designs do. But I'm just guessing
I think they haven't even tried with new molds, and are just trying to re-use old ones... And/or are trying to get away with minimal editing. Though, with such a bad oversight as making Celestia
pink I wouldn't put anything past them at this point.... Bleh.
"Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time..."
well, they seem to be making an effort, what with the shoutouts and ascended fannon...I dunno, though, maybe they're thinking that the adult fans won't want to buy the toys? Though that'd be a bit of a grievous oversight, wouldn't it?
Yes, it would be. The only reason I don't have a Twilight Sparkle already is because all the official toys suck.
