I wasn't much of a Rarity fan after what I'd seen of her, but.... Today I saw the episode where she's captured by the gemstone-loving dogs, and I have to say, my opinion of her went up a few notches.

Well, if the bronies are getting a spotlight, maybe we'll get some more stallions as secondary characters other than Big Mac. Only downside COULD be that the coolest male in all of Equestria might get less camera time: Spike.

Or he could get more time. I can only hope. Spike rocks!

Back to the ponies. Yeah, the Diamond Dogs episode is awesome. I think I was a Rarity fan since her sacrifice back in the first two-parter, but owning a species inspired by David Bowie cemented it.

Eh. I tend to dislike fashion in general, though, so I could be placing my dislike of that over to her....

..... Oh, and I watched the Green Isn't your Color episode as well. "Foreverrrrr!" Out of the sponges made me crack up. Now, more than ever, that deadpool/pinkie avvie is appropriate. XD

Eh, I'm kind of, of the same opinion as an earlier poster. While I'm glad the periphery is acknowledged I hope they don't start catering to us. Trying to revise a show to please an older fanbase rarely works.

Also I'm betting nobody saw the thing I posted at the end of the last page.

The whole "being a fashion designer" did make me roll my eyes at first. I mean, psh, what a stereotypical girlie dream job. What's next, airline stewardess? Vet? Though I consider myself someone who loathes the Real Women Never Wear Dresses trope, Rarity's job did strike me as too... Barbie-ish.

But her character handled it quite well, especially when she manages to show how much hard work goes into designing. It's an art form that requires a lot of toil. I have a few friends who went into designing, so I can relate to how frustrating the "just make it cooler" comments or the drag of purchasing materials for a project can be.

Oh, and her meltdowns are the funniest (after Fluttershy's)! I vant to be alone!

He was supposed to be the some-odd-hundered-great-grandson of a cousin of hers, or something. Basically, the descendant of a somehow non-divine relative.

Going back a bit to talking about Rarity's career, I actually know a few fashion designers (or I've met them, at least) So never really minded all that much. Though she's...a tad different from the designers I've met.
